Maciej 'Max' Staroniewicz

Maciej became interested in photography in 2002 when he purchased his first digital camera. He was immediately fascinated by the possibilities of sharing his way of seeing the world with other people through photography. He subsequently decided to sell his digital camera and learn the art of photography from the basics, including 35mm and medium format film photography, traditional and digital image post-processing.
In his photographs Maciej focuses on the subject and content more than on the form itself, he is a true believer of the “decisive moment” theory. Maciej's experience is, most of all, in theatre, concert and event photography (currently works with Polish Theatre Ireland, awarded 3rd place for the best photograph of the XII Shakespeare Festival in Poland), environmental portraits and corporate photography.
In his spare time Maciej can be spotted riding his mountain bike in Dublin or Wicklow mountains.
